The event brings together faith, culture, and local identity, attracting thousands of the faithful, visitors, and former residents of Picuí who return to experience this special moment.

The religious program features novenas, Masses, processions, and the traditional dawn procession, with the grand closing procession standing out as it winds through the city’s streets in a gesture of faith and devotion to the patron saint. At the same time, the social program includes fairs, cultural performances, concerts, auctions, and community activities that boost the local economy and strengthen religious tourism. More than just a festival, the celebration of Saint Sebastian is a symbol of the unity and tradition of the people of Picuí.
